CWG Badminton: Jwala, Ashwini Win Gold

New Delhi, Oct 14 (IANS) India's Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa upset top-seeded Singapore's Yao Lei and Sari Shinta Mulia 21-16, 21-19 to win gold in badminton women's doubles at the Commonwealth Games here Thursday.

Jwala and Ashwini, seeded second, won the match in 39 minutes amid loud cheers from the packed hall at the Siri Fort Sports Complex.
