DK reports 186 corona cases, two deaths; Udupi adds 113 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Sep 16: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, September 16 reported 186 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 1.65%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 17,20,346 samples have been tested so far, out of which 16,07,510 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,12,836 out of which 1,430 are currently active.

As many as 173 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 109780.

The death in the district on Thursday is two. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,626.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,06,11,770 in fines for 87,191 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 10,70,569 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 113 new cases were reported on Thursday, taking the total number of cases to 75,461 out of which 1,625 are currently active.

A total of 14 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 73,376 for the second wave.
