Mangaluru, Sep 16: Konaje police rescued two cows that were being taken to an illegal slaughterhouse at Marikala, border area between Kerala and Karnataka, as per the information given by Bajrang Dal (BD).

The pickup vehicle that was transporting the two cows without proper documents was stopped by the police at Poopadi Kallu Cross near Mudipu Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and the cows were rescued. The police acted on definite information from Bajrang Dal on the morning of Thursday September 16.

Police took into custody two men who were in the pickup. It is said that the accused gave excuse to the police that these cows were purchased by a local agriculturist of Poopady Kallu from the milk producers’ society and they were transporting the same to be delivered to the agriculturist.

Pavithra Karebail, chief of district goraksha of Bajrang Dal accused that everyday cows are being taken to Marikala illegal slaughterhouse by creating fake documents. He also urged the police to conduct thorough investigation and take stringent action on the accused.

the modus operandi of the so called go rakshaks and evening time go bhakshaks is clearly visible in this news.....the information was passed on to the police by the BD....actually what happens is that the owners of cow and other people of majority religion sell their cows due to financial problems or when they are unable to maintain them..then they tell BD that they have sold...BD calls and asks for hafta...if the buyer gives no kirikiri..if he does not then they inform the police....this is the simple cat and mouse game that goes in the twin ATHI BUDDHIVANTARA districts.. Jai Dali Tovve..

Krishna Bhatt Moodbdri,ok encounter cow smugglers and sellers.what can one do when cows dont give any more milk ,old,,how long should one have them in stall ?Everyone can not afford to have many cows in stall.who can feed them and what purpose?Be realistic.Otherside they are always on the look to see cow transporters. But sad to see noone helps or police too dont do anything when a girl is raped ,then no one helps.Day by day rapes and killing girls is increasing.Noone shouts to encounter.Instead all join to gangrape.

Wat will poor agriculturist do wen his cattle stops giving milk. Let nationalists come out with policy of buying all the cattle from farmers once it stops producing milk, at market price, and then they will look after this cattle at their expense. Only noise and show they do. Nationalists have no objection to slaughtering in Goa or party mla owning companies exporting cow meat abroad. Hypocrisy!
