Karnataka records 1,116 fresh cases, 8 deaths in last 24 hours

Bengaluru, Sep 15: Karnataka on Wednesday, Sep 15 registered 1,116 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 15,892. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 462.

As many as 8 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Wednesday, the death toll in the state has risen to 37,537.

The state recorded 970 discharges from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the total discharges to 29,10,626.

So far, Karnataka has seen 29,64,083 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.65% while the case fatality rate for the day is 0.71%.

As many as 4,83,74,479 people have received vaccination so far.

    The Gravity of the situation is much worse than reported.Kerala as higher numbers as contact tracing is done.Mlore lots of people are without the basic mask and some still do not believe of Covid.God save us.29255

    Bare minimum, can we expect honest numbers. From below 600 directly staring 1200 in a day? Why should be not think that the numbers reduced to ease restrictions for Ganeshotsava? These numbers are directly related to public health and people take care before venturing out, so the least expected is inform us of the true gravity of the situation.
