As another reader pointed out kabaddi is a outdoor game and suits the outdoors. Insted of kabaddi courts it is better to have some other indoor sports facility in the complex. Or is kabaddi being preferred since it is a indigenous sports?

Mangalore has found all-round development as compared to the Congress regime ..The Roads are better (Still work needs to be done on foot paths & underground drainage ,cables etc) .. The KAdri park road ,this Urwa market sports facility ,the facelift of Car street ,Govt college road ,etc are important makeovers for the city .The NH66 passing through the city is better now as compared to the congress govt . Still a lot of work needs to be done .. but never the less vision is there . The leaders are relatively less corrupt .. The people who are questioning and deriding these development initiatives are jealous and afraid of the performance of the current regime .. Its clear that no matter what we will not accept good work done from the so called Hindu govt .. I request you to come out of this blind hate . I dont belong to any party or ideology ..but I will appreciate when good work is done ..(which ever party) and criticize when wrong is done.

Nail should not be part of this project. Otherwise it will be another disaster like pumpwell flyover. Technical expertise should be used to build this stadium and not any un-educated contractor to be left to build such a mega project. Building stadium and maintaining it also should be part of the agenda with MCC. Othewise roof leakage, broken electric fittings makes the place shabby. We are building so many developments, but what about the maintenance. Look at our central fish market near our central Vegetable market. It's condition is so bad and we should be ashamed to tell it a fish market. No drainage, no roof to cover the fish sellers, cann't even walk inside the market. So is the condition. Jai Hind.

What happened to building pumpwell bus stand and multistorey parking?. Instead of new architecture they should focus on rebuilding existing infrastructure in the city

Hope this complex does not turn out to be like the adjacent Urwa market building. So far I have not seen anything SMART in the Smart city project. Not one project is on schedule. The initial enthusiasm last only a few weeks, then as usual goes on at a snails pace.

Happy to know that a " Well Equipped Indoor Stadiumm " is being built at our Urwa Market place. Hope and pray it is going to be a real boon for our people and I hear the name of Shri Vedavysa Kamath MLA who is going to be a person with some authority in overseeing this Project. Good for us and our budding youngsters. Trust, it will come up soon for all of us to see this beautiful stadium !
