Saudi: 156 people penalized for not abiding by covid 19 regulations

Riyadh, Sep 12: In order to Monitor compliance with the Anti-covid safety measure, the Saudi municipalities are putting in more effort.
In two days, 2,668 inspections were held in shopping malls, commercial centers and stores by the eastern province municipality.

Around 156 people were issued penalties for not abiding by the covid regulatory measure including social distancing, wearing of a mask, leniency in measuring the body temperature of customers, overcrowding issues and failure in the appropriate use of Tawakkalna app.

The app was launched a year ago to track the covid 19 cases, which also facilitates to show vaccination information along with individual status, stating if the person is vaccinated or infected after the update. To protect public safety and to prevent further spread f virus, the municipality has urged all the commercial facilities to keep to the covid regulations. Officials have also asked to call the 640 call center number or to contact authorities through the Balady app, in case of any suspected health breach.
