Mangaluru: ‘Missing’ woman had got married in Gadag on her own free will

Mangaluru, Sep 9: Barke police have cracked the case where a woman who was engaged went missing with ornaments.

According to the latest and available details, Reshma has married Akbar. Their marriage is registered in Gadag.

It is gathered, Reshma's mother Yashodha, basically belonged to Muslim community. Her maiden name was Hazarath. After marring one Veeresh, she became Yashodha. Akbar is the son of Yashodha alias Hazarath's sister's son.

Police said that they will take legal action as per the law.

It may be recalled, Reshma from Ballalbagh, who was engaged, went missing with gold ornaments and cash. Basically from Gadag, she was residing at an apartment in Gandhinagar.

Reshma went missing along with gold ornaments given by the family members of boy who was supposed to get married to her.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad had alleged love Jihad. VHP leader Sharan Pumpwell demanded to arrest the accused.

VHP leaders filed police compliant at Barke police station along with Yashodha.
