‘Charles Nite’ Debut at Borivli on Nov 5

The Canara Konkani Association Borivli ® will be organizing the first-ever ‘Charles Nite’ at the auditorium of St Francis Institute of Management, Borivli (West), on Friday November 5.

Charles D’Cunha is a well-known name on the Konkani stage in the metro for the past 25 years.  He began his career singing in ‘Victor Nite’. Apart from singing for all the leading singers of Konkani, he has organized 14 mini musical Nites in the past 15 years.
 
Well-known Konkani singers Ivan Sequeira, Doreen Pinto, Denis Gonsalves, Anthony Tauro, and upcoming singing sensation Rubina Pinto will be the co-singers at the forthcoming Charles Nite.

Charles’  children Clinton and Cleona who have inspired the Konkani community of IC Colony with their melodious choir for Konkani Holy Masses, and singing sensation Lonita Lobo will also join in.
 
The metro’s leading band ‘Day Breakers’ will be the musicians for Charles Nite. 
 
Jerry Rasquinha and Joseph Pinto are expected to enthrall the gathering with their comedies.  Kenny will be a guest artiste at the show.
 
Association president Albert W D’Souza and vice-president George D’Souza urged Konkani music buffs to attend the Nite in large numbers.
