Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind appeals to non-Muslims not to send girls to co-ed schools

New Delhi, Aug 30 (IANS): The President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind (JUH), Arshad Madani, has appealed to all non-Muslims not to send their daughters to co-educational schools to save them from ‘obscenity, while emphasising on schooling of girls in separate schools.

In a press statement issued on Monday after the working committee meeting of the JUH, Madani said, "Immorality and obscenity is not a teaching of any religion. It has been condemned in every religion of the world because these are the things which spread misbehaviour in the society. Therefore, we will also ask our non-Muslim brothers to refrain from giving co-education to their daughters to keep them away from immorality and misbehaviour, and to set up separate educational institutions for them."

The establishment of schools and colleges for boys and girls, especially separate educational institutions in a religious environment for girls, and the ways to reform the society were discussed in detail during the working committee meeting.

Madani said that in today's situation, people need good madrasas and higher secular educational institutions in which children can be provided equal opportunities of education.

Madani said that Muslims must equip their children with higher education at any cost.

"We desperately need schools and colleges in which our children, especially girls, can get higher education without any hindrance or discrimination" he said.

So don't send your daughters outside the house. May be your neighbour will eye on them. Your mind is thinking in that way. In many years we live in society and grow up and studied with male and female together but nothing wrong happening unless very few incidents. And you do not have rights to say this. We are in democracy country. And if you have guts stop the film industry who work females males with all community together. Even now in Arabic countries males and females work together

Segregation causes sexual frustration .We should wish for strong judicial system not segregation.Extremely segregated societies have no good track record in curbing sexual offences but are more prevalent and in many case hidden because of honor.

Rightly said. Most of the christian missionary schools and colleges have been practicing girls only or boys only institutions for a long time. Only recently some have become co-ed and it seems are facing problems and thinking about reverting to earlier systems. This is idea is not something which is advocated by muslims. In fact even hindus too have some schools /colleges which are not co-ed.

For sure an overwhelming number of Indians are in favor of morality, but there has to be some compromise that would reflect the passage of time. There is nothing immoral or wrong with the way co-education is being practiced in India. We should accept changes with the passage of time, as we are living in the 21st century. If anyone does not want to accept some of these basic changes they will be washed away with the Tsunami that's coming.

Naiccceee....! Listen to him because (a) he represents peaceful religion of the earth. (b) philosophy is time tested and has evolved through many centuries. First with the power of sword and now with guns. (c) Kafirs and Jahannum (hell) reserved for non-muslims, but please listen to his appeal. (d) Taliban are true muslims with true intepretation of islam. Alternately, ask him now many wives he has? How many kids he has? Ask him why? And then ask him to comment on uniform civil code. This person will tell you why uniform civil code is unislamic. This kind of duplicitous citizens of India should be arrested for fraud and be put behind bars.

Co-education isn't the problem but people's thinking is the real problem. Co-education teaches both the genders to respect each other.
