Riyadh, Aug 26: With the aim of discovering and nurturing local talents. Saudi Theatre and Performing Arts Authority started a second advanced training programme in acting and directing.

The programme will be held for 10 days at the stage of King Abdul Aziz Public Library. Among the 150 people who applied to be trained, only 50 male and female participants are selected for the training. The selection was done based on the English language skill and previous acting experience of the applicants.

Two workshops will be presented to improve the skills of the participants in the theatre and directing fields. The aim of the programme is to give the participants a global theatrical exposure. Training teams from the USA and Spain will be training the participants.

By giving short and virtual advanced in-house training programmes for the participants the authority is aiming to provide support for professional development of local talent.
