Mangaluru: After colleges reopened, 600 students test coronavirus positive

Mangaluru, Aug 24: It has reliably been learnt that about 600 students have tested positive for coronavirus infection after colleges reopened in Dakshina Kannada district. It is said that most of the students who contracted the disease are of Kerala origin.

The college students had been tested for infection a few weeks back. Thereafter, physical classes have begun. As the infections went up, 29 institutions in the district have been declared as containment zones.

Dr Ashok, district nodal officer for Dakshina Kannada district relating to covid19, said that most of the colleges which did not strictly follow the Covid rules during the examinations and physical classes have been served with notices. He said that most of the students who appeared for examinations during the last few weeks got infected as some of the institutions failed to follow precautionary measures.

The infected students are under quarantine at their hostels, flats and covid care centres. The health department has said that 620 students have tested positive and a few colleges have been advised to stop conducting physical classes.

It is learnt that people with medical background are deployed to supervise the students in hostels and that many who were on primary contact with the infected persons have not yet undergone quarantine. Students who should have been in quarantine are mixing with other students and people in other hostels. Complaints have been registered against the educational institutions which have been saying that students who should have been quarantined have left for their homes, it is learnt.

In certain cases, students under quarantine were served in the same room as others, and they were kept in the same wing. Institutions which failed to follow the norms will face cases, said Dr Ashok.

Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner, Dr Rajendra K V, during his meeting with officials, said that negligence of college managements is apparent and warned that first information reports will be registered if the managements do not properly handle the students in quarantine.

We have to prepare for it." It is only natural for a virus to evolve and therefore experts warn that COVID variants will keep on rising in the future. Sage, the group of scientists advising the UK Government, in a paper published on July 30 said that there was a strong possibility of COVID becoming more deadly, terming it a "realistic possibility".

Don't spread panic message like this..I am keep on saying....People are not dying by covid 19.People are dying due to wrong treatment and delay in admission of hospitals.Then what you want people to stay inside home forever? People should not enjoy or what? Don't trust those virologist and scientists who spread fear mongering message...Trust me 2022 onwards life will return normal..There will new nasal vaccines which will tackle all the variants..Nothing is danger and nothing deadly.....

RTPCR test is only meant for experimental use as per the inventor himself; as there is no reference material how the calibration is done? Also it's not COVID 19 specific! FYI, the above prediction is in news in public domain and not from anybodys pocket please note.

Vaccines are doing great damage to the recipients without them feeling it as it is immune system they are damaging due to their adjuavants which are toxic. Many virologists and scientists have warned WHO and many govts to stop them as any administration of medicines and vaccines cause mutations which hoodwink the vaccine induced weak immunity but will never able to affect those who had natural corona infections. But nobody gets money by stopping them as they are on the payroll of vaccine industries. Out of thousands of mutations only a few are affecting people but every mutation causes viruses to lose their sting and become milder and less dangerous than the first wave viruses. Unless new strain is released by the evil globalists to reduce already compromised immune system people either through natural diseases or whose immune system has been tweaked by the jabs who will be at greater risk and they will blame either new variant story or unvaccinated people will get the blame to force them to comply and get injected with toxic jabs too. Time for people to wake up and stop these is the only option left for us to save our nation and its economy.

"The Kerala High Court on Tuesday sought the Centre’s opinion on the 84-day gap between the two doses of Covid-19 vaccine Covishield from previously recommended 4-6 weeks. The court sought the clarification while considering a petition from KITEX garments, which sought permission for administering the second dose of Covishield to its employees. The firm said it had purchased the second dose of vaccine for its employees, but could not be administered due to the gap fixed between the two doses. While hearing the plea, the bench of Justice P B Suresh Kumar asked whether the mandated gap between the two doses was meant for effectiveness of the vaccine or due to the shortage in the supply of vaccine. The state government informed the court that it was following the guidelines issued by the Union Government. Hence, the court sought a response from the Centre by Thursday.

If you visit Kabul you will find some (rather many) Taliban, if you visit any hospital or crowded place, you will find all sorts of bacteria and viruses, including Corona, they enter the nose and throat as any mask will not provide an airtight seal between the mask and skin of the face. The rtPCR tests from nasal and throat swabs detect these viruses-on the mucosal surface- dead or alive - this DOES NOT indicate INFECTION it is only Colonization.Only when the virus enters body tissues it is termed as infection. Such rtPCR tests for tracking and tracing should be abandoned and used sparingly for confirmation of differential diagnosis only.It only creates panic and fear which directly contributes to mortality in Covid, and the exponential rise in suicides in the district due to economic problems.

This is nothing but keeping the fear intact by playing a snake and ladders game. In the first place the tests themselves are fake and they never differentiate between ordinary seasonal cold and flu as their calibration is done by using common cold virus as corona virus is still elusive and never been found or isolated, as such any assumed contagion itself is based on myth. Secondly the report never reveals how many are asymptomatic which means they are healthy and never transmit infections according to the latest research. It is nothing but preparing ground to market vaccines to the biggest youth and kids group to make hay for the vaccine producers. I've been warning people from many months if still they want to believe fake media and corrupt vaccine industries using politicians as marketing agents can be assumed. Wake up or be slaves is the only option left for proud nation like ours.

I agree with you. The whole process of testing itself is a big scam everywhere. Whoever's going to d hospital for any kind of treatment, they just do d rapid antigen test or INAAT and everyone tests positive. My humble request to d people going to the private hospitals for treatment, kindly go to a government hospital or health center and do the covid test before going to the private hospital. We experienced this with our close family member and many people at that place were saying exactly the same that everyone at their home is negative, except the person who has been brought for treatment and is tested positive. Only God knows what is happening in these places. People just believe whatever has been told, they don't even try to find out if it is true or they are fooling the general public. I am sure they will have to answer our Creator Almighty God for all these things that they r doing and playing the emotions of the poor people. In mangalore we have so many educated people but noone raises their voices when such kind of injustice has been done in the name of Covid 19...

Yes ,I agree with you sir , but at the same time, I would like to mention that most of the Saloon also responsible to spread Corona virus. Because I have noticed that in most of the saloon they use the same disposable APRON from one customer to another. That's why Corona virus is not coming to control. Our DC must close the saloon till the virus is active.
