Riyadh: Russia, Saudi Arabia sign treaty to increase military ties

Riyadh, Aug 24: The kingdom entered into an agreement in military cooperation with Russia. The deal was signed on Monday, August 23.

The announcement in this regard was made by Prince Khalid bin Salman, deputy defense minister of the country. Russia was represented by Colonel General Alexander Fomin.

The International Military-Technical forum (ARMY ) is underway in Russia and Prince Khalid is in Russia to attend the same. The Prince also had discussions with Russian defence minister Segry Shoygu to improve military cooperation between the two countries.

Prince Khalid was given a warm welcome by several defence officials of Russia as well the Saudi Ambassador for Russia, when he landed in Moscow.

The ARMY 2021 began on Monday and will end on Saturday. This is the seventh edition of the military expo. The exhibition is being held at Patriot Congress and Exhibition Centre in the town of Kubinka, situated at a distance of 63 kilometers from Moscow.
