Riyadh: Municipalities of Eastern region ramp up health inspection tours

Riyadh, Aug 21: According to the Saudi Press Agency, municipalities in the kingdom have stepped up their efforts in containing the spread of coronavirus.

As a part of this process, the Easter Province municipality conducted 1,390 health inspection tours in shopping malls, stores and commercial centres in order to check the compliance with health guidelines given by the ministry.

The municipality slapped fines on 84 establishments for not following health guidelines given by the ministry including failure to use Tawakkalna app and crowding of people.

General public are requested by the officials of the health ministry to call the call centre on 940 in case they find any one breaching the health guidelines.
