Mumbai: Husband arrested for dowry harassment, suicide of wife

Mumbai, Aug 16: Police arrested a man from Diva in Thane district for torturing his wife over dowry which culminated in her suicide.

Satendra Omprakash Singh (33) is the accused who is arrested for his wife’s Aanchal’s suicide. Aanchal ( 26) hanged herself in the house. The couple got married in 2019. Of late Satendra started harassing his wife to bring in more money from her parents in order to buy a house. This information was given by police based on the FIR filed by the father of the deceased.

Accused Satendra is in police custody and a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder is slapped on him.
