Mumbai, Aug 5: A case of murder is booked on the 16-year-old girl, who flung her newborn baby from the second floor flat of her apartment at Virar in the city on Tuesday, August 3. In addition, the police will also slap a case of rape on the father of the child under POCSO.

On Tuesday, passers-by were shocked to see the body of an hour-old baby in the compound of a building in Yashwant Nagar of Virar at around 11 pm. Later it was known that the baby was thrown from the second floor flat by a teenager, who induced the delivery. She is admitted to hospital now.


The baby was declared dead on arrival by the hospital authorities.
