Renowned Kannada Litterateur Ravi Ra Anchan’s Books Released

Mumbai, Sep 20: A B Shetty, president, metro-based Kannada Bhavan Education Society, released ‘Nelada Dani’ and ‘Viveka Chinthane’, two books authored by Ravi Ra Anchan, in a simple ceremony held at Kannada Bhavan auditorium on Saturday September 18.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Ravi is an alumnus of Kannada Night High School managed by the Society, and hence they would support him in his literary endeavour out of love.
Chandrasekhar Palettady, editor, ‘Kannada Malla’, the Kannada daily published from the metro, and president of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharastra, was the chief guest on the occasion.
He said that both the books authored by Anchan have the potential to be approved as textbooks for schools by the Karnataka education department. “They are valuable to students and litterateurs. Ravi Ra Anchan in his book ‘Viveka Chinthane’ clarified the distortion of Swamy Vivekananda’s ideals by communal forces at an appropriate time”, said Palettady.
Ravindranath Sirivara, chief, Sirivara Prakashan, Bangalore, the publisher of both books of Anchan said that the author in his book ‘Viveka Chinthane’, analyzed the universal brotherhood propagated by Swamy Vivekananda. “Anchan deserves to be commended for his extraordinary literary works”, said Sirivara.
In acknowledgement, Anchan said that the metro is his inspiration to author many books. He said that he has been exploring Karnataka’s roots as a passion. He added that will remain ever grateful to all who supported him in his literary endeavour.
Poet and columnist Gopal Trasi, stage artist, director and writer Sa Daya (Dayanand Salian) were also present on the dais.
The Society’s honorary chief secretary Shekar A Amin welcomed the gathering. Joint secretary Devdas Kulal proposed the vote of thanks. Joint secretary Keshav Kotian compered the programme.
