Mumbai, Aug 3: Mortal remains of two sisters were found hanging in their apartment at Navi Mumbai township. The bodies were decomposed. This information was shared by a police official.

Foul smell started emanating in the apartment building of the society where deceased Laxmi Panthari (33) and her sister Sneha Panthari (26) used to live in Airoli’s sector 10. The residents of the building complained to the police on Monday, August 1. When the police arrived on the spot they broke open the door and found both sisters hanging from the ceiling.

According to police the deceased sisters used to give private tuitions and kept aloof from neighbours and other residents of the society. A few years ago their father died and their mother killed herself. They were supposedly seen on Friday, July 29 for the last time.

A case in this connection is registered and police are investigating further.
