Riyadh: Violation of Covid-19 prohibition – Authority to fine upto SR 500k on offenders

Riyadh, Aug 2: Fines upto SR 500,000 ($133,323) will be slapped on passengers who will violate the travel restrictions to countries on which the kingdom authorities have placed a ban in the wake of increasing cases of Covid in those countries. This warning was given by Saudi public prosecution office.

In addition, the officials said that stringent action will be taken against those passengers who have visited countries that are on the ban list and did not disclose the information.

Owners and operators of transport companies also will be fined if they are found to violate the guidelines issued by the authority.
