Mumbai: Mohana Taranga book by author Anita P Takode gets cash award

Mumbai, Aug 2: The book ‘Mohana Taranga’ about the achievements of drama artist Mohan Marnad by author Anita P Poojary, Takode has received a cash prize of Rs 25 thousand for the year 2019-20 from Karnataka state government department of Kannada and culture. The book had earlier received an award from Karnataka Nataka Academy. The book published in 2019 is reviewed by several critics.

Anita, hailing from Moodbidri, Karnataka holds B A degree from Karnataka open university and has secured first rank in M A from Mumbai university. She is a resident of Mumbai for the last two decades and has made a name for herself as a talented poet, storey writer and columnist. She had taken part in the poet’s meet at Mysore palace in 2019. She has won prizes for several of her stories, poems and books.

She is the joint treasurer of Srajana group of poetesses and executive committee member of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha, Maharashtra.
