CM meets PM, seeks AIIMS for Hubballi-Dharwad, similar one for Raichuru

Bengaluru, Jul 30: In his first visit to Delhi after assuming charge, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday had a busy day meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Water Resources Minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat, BJP national president J P Nadda and several other union ministers besides State’s members of parliament.

After exchanging pleasantries, Bommai requested the Prime Minister to approve All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for Hubballi-Dharwad and a similar national institute for Raichuru.



The Chief Minister also appealed to the Prime Minister to upgrade ESIC Medical College and Hospital in Kalaburagi to Regional AIIMS like Institute.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister assured to extend full support to the development of the State.

The Chief Minister also called on Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh along with Karnataka’s Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi and discussed issues pertaining to the State.

In his meeting with Gajendra Singh Singh Shekawat, the Chief Minister discussed several irrigation projects of Karnataka.

BJP MPs Shivakumar Udasai, Dr Umesh Jadhav and State leaders R Ashok and Umesh V Katti accompanied the Chief Minister.

    When we don't have AIIMS in Bangalore and Mangalore two big cities, he is talking about Hubli-Dharvaad. So why should we allow in this big cities Private hospitals to keep looting us. All living in these big cities are not rich.

    He wants to give back something to the people who voted for him, we had a chief minister and health minister from our district but this thought did not come to them. Because most of these private hospitals are owned by politicians and their cronies.

    What is the use Flavian we had so many useless guys from our districts as ministers, chief minister, party presidents, general secretaries, some were close to leaders in Delhi what did we get nothing, we have to go to Bangalore or Bombay in search of jobs.
