Mumbai: John D’ Silva appointed new chairman of Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Mumbai (RBI), July.27: The Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry here today formally announced John D’ Silva as the new Chairman of the CCCI, replacing Antony Sequeira. John D’ Silva is a veteran in the banking sector. He replaced Antony Sequeira, on account of his resignation.

Albert W D’ Souza felicitating John D’ Silva In this time, Vincent Mathias (Founder President), Ralph Pereira, Johnson Theratill, Gregory Mark D’ Souza, Henry Lobo, Rajesh Athaide, Lawrence Coelho and advisor Pius Vas were present.

John D’ Silva has the unique distinction of organizing and laying a firm footing to the following four Co-operative banks: As the Chief Promoter and CMD of Abhyudaya Co-op. Bank Ltd, New India Co-op. Bank Ltd ,Citizen Credit Co-op. Bank Ltd and Model Co-op. Bank Ltd., as its Chief promoter and the First Chairman. He also served as the Vice Chairman of the Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He is currently associated as the Editor-in-Chief of the Co-operative Bankers Handbook and the Urban Banks All India Directory. He is the President of the Mangalorean Catholic Educational Co-op Credit Society Ltd, Fuddar Prathistan and the Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Maharashtra.
