Mumbai: Police arrest four with MD, marijuana in separate cases

Mumbai, Jul 19: Two youths were arrested by the Mumbai Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) with 190 gram of mephedrone (MD) and 15 gram of cocaine collectively worth Rs 24 lac. After receiving a tip-off, the ANC Worli unit laid a trap and arrested Nikhil Mahesh Malkarnekar (27) and Shivarth Raj Datt (20) on Saturday July 17.

In another incident, the Juhu police arrested two persons, including a senior citizen with 58 kg of marijuana on Saturday. The seizure is worth Rs 11 lac. Police said they acted on a tip-off that narcotics were stored in a chawl at Nehru Nagar slums.

Following the tip-off, a raid was conducted in which the accused Mohan Rathod (48) and Maruti Jaanbandhu (65) were arrested.
