The metro-based Kunda Kannada Balaga, Dombivali (East), organized a literary meet with Bangalore’s renowned litterateur Vasudendra at the residence of Prof Venkatesh Pai, Dombivali (East), recently.

Veteran teacher and litterateur Sanatkumar Jain presided over the meet.

Renowned columnist Suma Dwarakanat Vasudendra, in her introductory address, expressed concern over the immoral activities that are going on in the call centers as described in the article authored by Prof Pai.

Literary discussions on the stories and columns authored by Vasudendra were held for over two and a half hours.

Vasudendra read the elocution of ‘Steel Vessels’ authored by Prof Pai, while Rekha Amin, Panduranga Pai, Vatsala Bayari, Akshata Deshpande, and Raghavendra Torati shared their opinions.

Speaking on the occasion, Vasudendra said that she has no answers as to why she has been authoring literary works and she does not know how long she will do so.  She said that it has given her peace and happiness.

Vasudendra said that many of her readers had commented positively on her works and stressed that any literary work without readers will have no worth. Prof Pai welcomed the gathering.
