Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 25: Someshwar aged 18 who lived a colourful life as a boy, kind-hearted, jovial in his words and deeds, loved by everyone had a black cloud in his life.

Gradually, there was a great change in his behaviour which saddened everyone who knew him. The family consulted doctors, necessary care was taken but he did not improve.

One fine day, about four years back, he disappeared from his house. His whereabouts were unknown. The family left no stones unturned to find him. A missing complaint was lodged at the local police station.

The family members lost all hope as many times they were called to identify dead bodies found in the locality assuming it was their missing boy.

On December 7, 2018 the Snehalaya team found a boy roaming by the roadside at Manjanady and causing problems for the people in the area.

The Snehalaya team took him to Snehalaya, provided all the basic needs, care, love and shelter. He responded to medical treatment. He started taking an active part in all the activities. His entry to Snehalaya was the turning point in his life. During counseling he revealed his address that he hailed from Belagavi, Athani.

The Snehalaya team contacted his family on June 22 who was overjoyed to hear the good news of Someshwar's existence. Someshwar's family members visited Snehalaya and took him back to their family and successfully reunited with his family where there was a successful reunion after four years.
