Bengaluru, Jun 23: Karnataka on Wednesday, June 23 registered 4,436 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 1,16,450. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally has come down to 1008 new cases.
As many as 123 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Wednesday, with Bengaluru Urban alone recording 24 deaths and Ballari 10. With this, the death toll so far has risen to 34,287.
The state recorded 6,455 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 26,68,705.
So far, Karnataka has seen 28,19,465 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 2.59% while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.77%.
As many as 2,03,73,516 people have received vaccination so far.
