Mumbai: Professor K Devaraja Hegde passes away

Mumbai, Jun 21: Mysuru Vidyaranyapura resident Professor K Devaraja Hegde (79) who had retired after serving as principal of Dhavala Collge, Moodbidri, passed away after a heart attack at his Mysuru residence on June 18.

He had served as a professor at Mysuru JSS First Grade College for about one-and-a-half decade before becoming principal of Dhavala College.

He has left behind his wife, sons, advocate and entrepreneur Harish Kumar Hegde, Bengaluru regional traffic office vehicle inspector Sharath Hegde, grandchildren, friends and relatives.

His last rites were held at the electric crematorium at Chamundi Sidehills last Saturday.

Dhavala College management, teachers, students and former students have condoled his death.
