Mumbai: FIR against man for raping lady police officer on pretext of marriage

Mumbai, Jun 14: An FIR was lodged against a man for allegedly raping a woman police officer. The man claimed to be a banking professional and raped her under the pretext of marriage, an official said on Sunday June 13.

Two more persons were named in the FIR by the victim, an assistant police inspector for threatening and blackmailing her in connection with the crime.

"The main accused hails from Aurangabad. He came in contact with the woman cop through a social networking site and they entered into a relationship. The accused allegedly captured his intimate videos with the victim and later started harassing and blackmailing her," the official said quoting the FIR.
