Euro2020: Denmark-Finland game suspended after Eriksen collapses


Copenhagen, Jun 13 (IANS): A UEFA Euro 2020 match between Denmark and Finland was suspended after 29-year-old Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed on the field on Saturday.

The Inter Milan player first stumbled in the 43rd minute and then collapsed on the turf during the Group B fixture.

Reports said the medical staff tried resuscitating Eriksen for about 10 minutes before he was stretchered off the field.

The UEFA announced on its website that the match had been suspended.
