UAE reports 1,401 new Covid cases amid intensive vaccination campaign

Dubai, May 21: Amid an intensive vaccination campaign, the UAE confirmed 1,401 new Covid cases and three deaths. The total number of cases in the country now stands at 551,430, including 1,642 deaths, with 531,459 of Covid-19 patients now fully recovered, sources reported. Globally the UAE ranks high for Covid testing and vaccination rates.

Earlier this week, Dubai eased the Covid rules and allowed hotels to operate at full capacity. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi will allow quarantine-free travel for international visitors starting July 1 as well as expand its green list of countries to boost tourism in the emirate.

However, visitors from India are covered by quarantine restrictions.
