Billavar Association Distributes Scholarships to Students

Mumbai, Aug 10:
The education committee of metro-based Billavar Association distributed scholarships to poor students of the community in a function held at Billava Bhavan auditorium, Santa Cruz (East), here on Saturday August 7.
 
Association president Jaya C Suvarna, in his presidential address, said that the Association has been helping the poor students to pursue their studies to shape a bright future.

 
Manmohan Gupta, proprietor, M M Mitaiwala, Malad, was the guest of honour on the occasion.
 
Vasudev R Kotian, chairman, Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited, and former director Umesh Sanil distributed scholarships to hundreds of community students during the function.
 
The Association’s honorary president Y Nagesh, vice-presidents M B Kukyan, L Amin, Nithyanand D Kotian and C T Salian, honorary chief secretary Jyothi K Suvarna, honorary treasurer Uday S Salian, honorary joint secretary Dharmesh S Salian, and women’s wing executive president Jayanti V Ullal were present on the dais.
 
Education committee secretary Dhananjay S Kotian, members M Anand Poojary, Naveen M Poojary, Ravindra V Amin, Shyam Salian, Harish G Salian, Yadav Bangera, Divakar Suvarna, Bhaskar Bangera, Shakuntala K Kotian, Sadashiv V Karkera, Prema R Kotian, D N Salian, and B Ravindra Amin were present on the occasion.
 
Education committee executive president Bhaskar M Salian welcomed the gathering.
