India Lose to Canada in World Junior Squash


Quito (Ecuador), Aug 6 (IANS): India went down fighting to Canada 1-2 in the quarterfinals of the World Junior boys squash championships.

Canadians Andrew Schnell and Nicholas Sachvie were too strong for Aditya Jagtap and Ravi Dixit, respectively, winning the match in straight games while Ramit Tandon defeated Arjun Gupta in the dead rubber here Thursday

The results:

Canada beat India 2-1 (Andrew Schnell beat Aditya Jagtap 11-5, 11-9, 11-4; Nicholas Sachvie beat Ravi Dixit 11-7, 11-7, 11-4; Arjun Gupta lost to Ramit Tandon 2-11, 1-11).
