Bharat Amcho Des CD Released

Panaji, July 31: A compact disc (CD) containing patriotic songs Bharat Amcho Des produced by Sucorro De St Cruz in collaboration with the department of information and publicity, Goa was released by Menino Peres, director of information and publicity at a function organized by Tiatr Academy Goa at Kala Academy, recently.

The department of information and publicity has released financial assistance to produce the CD under songs and drama scheme implemented by it. Chairman of Tiatr Academy Tomazinho Cardozo, Adv Atanacio Monteiro and Sucorro De St Cruz were present.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Peres said that under the scheme songs, dramas and other forms of traditional media with social messages can get financial assistance from department up to the extent of 80 percent of the total cost. He asked budding musicians and singers to come forward to derive benefits of the scheme.

Tomazinho Cardozo and Adv Atanacio Monteiro also spoke. The singer Succorro De St Cruz was also felicitated by Monteiro for his contribution in music field.

There are nine songs in the CD sung by Sucorro, Anicetto, Anthony Sen and Soniya among others. A live performance of the songs included in the CD was also held.

Joy Fernandes, programme officer of Tiatr Academy proposed the vote of thanks.
