Mumbai: Police book 39 for carrying fake negative Covid report

Mumbai, Apr 14: The police booked thirty-nine persons, including passengers of a private bus from Kalbadevi to Ahmedabad on Tuesday April 13 for allegedly carrying fake RT-PCR Covid-19 negative reports. The journey was cancelled.

At around 1 am the Kashimira police checked the bus with 33 passengers and the reports were found to be fake. It is said that bus operator, Pawan Travels, had taken Rs 300 from each passenger to get them the reports.

The passengers' names and ages were mentioned on the certificate. The documents of a laboratory were used to print copies of the fake reports. However, it was noticed that the reports were of one laboratory, which was not possible.
