Kasargod: Kidnappers release youth held captive after police intensify probe

Kasargod, Apr 13: A day after a 25-year-old youth was abducted from Nellikatte in Perla, the kidnappers let him go at Cherladka in Badiyadka police station limits and fled the spot.

It is said that Abbas a resident near Perla checkpost was kidnapped on Sunday in a car. In this regard, the family members of the youth had even filed a police complaint.

As the police officers intensified the probe, they raided the residence of one of the accused men in Thalangara, Kasargod. Following this, the kidnappers released Abbas in Nellikatte, Cherladka, and took off from the spot.

It is said that a jewellery dispute between the kidnappers and Abbas's brother is the reason behind the abduction.
