Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 4: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 83 fresh coronavirus cases on Sunday raising the tally to 35,998. Out of these, 642 cases are currently active.
A total of 641,183 samples have been tested. Out of which 605,185 are negative.
As many as 67 people were discharged on Sunday, taking the total number of recoveries to 34,614.
A total of 742 deaths have occurred so far.
Over 42,393 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 44,13,230 in fines have been collected by the authorities.
Udupi
The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 25,515, including 73 fresh cases on Sunday. Out of these, 390 cases are currently active.
Over 4,28,440 samples have been tested so far.
As many as 68 patients were discharged on Sunday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 24,933.
A total of 192 deaths have occurred so far.
