Dubai: GMU signs MOU with IRC offering joint training, research

Dubai, Mar 23: Gulf Medical University signed an MOU with a leading imaging center in UAE and the Middle East, International Radiology Center (IRC) bringing academia, healthcare and research close to each other which enhances the training of Gulf Medical University students and graduates.

International Radiology Center (IRC) represented by Professor Ahmed El-Serafi founder and CEO-IRC, signed an agreement with Gulf Medical University represented by Professor Hossam Hamdy, chancellor of Gulf Medical University.

The institutes joined hands to collaborate for the development and improvement of education and training in Imaging Sciences in the UAE, provide students with training opportunities at IRC, collaborate in developing, offering and certification for continuous professional development in imaging sciences. This includes short-term courses, workshops, diplomas and post-graduate studies in Imaging Sciences.

Professor Hossam Hamdy mentioned, "This is an important collaboration which will develop the Imaging Sciences in the UAE as we share the same vision and values. Students from Gulf Medical University will have better practical and clinical experience. The students will also be exposed to the latest developments in Radiology Services and New Technologies which will help them in their career growth. We are happy to have such a partner and will collaborate and support them in any way possible."

Professor Ahmed El Serafi, founder of International Radiology Centre (IRC) mentioned, “This was an excellent strategic partnership which contributes in the growth of quality radiology services in the UAE and the general community will benefit from the special screening services offered by IRC and contributing to academia and research."
