Dubai, Mar 13: Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) UAE committee has set right the documents of an Indian who died of heart attack on February 11 in Dubai. The identity of the person was not known earlier. He was later identified as Muthalib (34) resident of Narsha, Bantwal taluk.

It may be recalled, a person had died of heart attack in Dubai on February 11. His death did not come to the attention of anybody as he had snapped communication from his family and friends. As nobody contacted, UAE Indian embassy office called KCF UAE committee saying that an orphaned dead body of an Indian is lying in the morgue for several days.

KCF UAE national president Abdul Jaleel Nizami who swung into action divided KCF UAE 24/7 ready team activists into three groups in the leadership of Emmemadu Kodagu and welfare division president Zainuddin Bellare. But KCF had a hard time as the passport, visa or any other identity of the deceased was not available.

The team in the leadership of Majid Manjanady, Ali Kulur and Samad Birali of KCF Dubai north zone visited the police department, medical records section and Indian consulate several times and identified after relentless efforts that the deceased was Bantwal resident Muthalib. However they faced setbacks for the last rites as the deceased had no passport, visa or other documents required as per Dubai government regulations. Finally, KCF with the help of KCF Saudi Arabia president Yousuf Sakhafi Baithar and family members at hometown, prepared a power of attorney, passport and other documents in the name of concerned KCF members and performed the last rites at Dubai Al Quoz cemetery within two days.

The Dafan was performed in the leadership of KCF Dubai South Zone treasurer, Al Barsha Imam Ilyas Madani. Dubai KCF south zone president Abdul Azeez Ahmani, secretary Mansoor Harekala, Sharif Bairikatte and others cooperated.

The humane service of KCF UAE of performing the last rites of the dead body that was orphaned for a month is being commended by all.
