UEFA President Hospitalised

Moscow, July 10 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Michel Platini, president of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), was taken to a hospital in South Africa after he fainted in a restaurant, a media report said Saturday.

It was initially thought that Platini, 55, suffered a heart attack. But a medical examination ruled that out, the Sky Sports News reported.

"He has a cold and a bit of fever," UEFA advisor William Gaillard was quoted as saying.
