Mumbai, Mar 8: Aishwara R Poojary, SSLC topper for 2019-20 among Kannada night schools in Mumbai released ‘Hani-Dhwani’ a book written by veteran author-journalist Somanatha S Karkera and published by Aksharaganga Prakashana, Navi Mumbai. The programme was held at the library of Kannada Sangha, Bhavudaji road, Matunga east on Saturday March 6.

The programme was chaired by Mumbai Kannada Sangha president Gururaja S Nayak. An ISRO scientist Chidananda Magaduma and Manjunath Badigera were the guests of honour. Veteran theatre artiste and director Dr B R Manjunath were present as special invitees.

Mallikarjuna Badigera said that poignant satire can be found in the book that makes one to introspect.

Kannada Sangha ladies wing president, Dr Rajani V Pai, librarian S K Padmanabha, members Narayana Rao, S Daya, K Manjunathayya and other elite congratulated the author.

Gagan Moolya sang a prayer song. Author Somanath Karkera welcomed the gathering and honoured the guests with bouquets. Author and teacher Mallikarjuna Badigera introduced the book. Archan Poojary compered the programme. Sudhaker C Poojary of Kannada Sangha rendered the vote of thanks.
