In a press release, BJP Sullia unit stated, "S N Manmatha has shouldered important responsibilities in the party and was elevated to the position of people representative. At present he is working as zilla panchayat member and president of Ivarnadu society. Though he is in such a responsible position in the party, he is putting obstacles to the party work and has been mobilising people against the party. As he is involved in anti-party activities despite getting honour and positions through the party, this matter was brought to the notice of BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, union minister D V Sadananda Gowda and district BJP president Sudarshan Moodbidri. An appeal was sent to the district president to relieve Manmatha from the primary membership and all responsibilities of the party for a period of six years."

The committee also said that Shailesh Ambekallu, Vishnu Bhat Moolethota and Santhosh Kuthamotte have also been expelled from the primary membership of the party and all responsibilities for obstructing works of BJP, despite being given important positions in the party.
