Mangaluru: Police chief, DCP pursue truck transporting sand illegally in scooter, seize vehicle

Mangaluru, Feb 27: Police commissioner Shashi Kumar and DCP Hariram in a rare way, rode a scooter to intercept a truck that was transporting sand illegally.

Both the commissioner and DCP rode on a scooter and intercepted the truck that was carrying sand illegally to Kerala.

Both police officers stopped the truck at Talapady tollgate. The truck was carrying sand from Someshwar beach to Kerala. Police also seized the vehicles that were escorting the truck.

    May be owner of this truck did not pay to police as agreed. hundreds of trucks moving everyday, all locals knows this, why police dept. still did not taken action against all trucks???

    Good job. Same i request Police Chief & DCP to travel same way & see how how city buses hink from behind unnecessarily. Also catch some young boy / Zomato/ Swiggy two wheelers who ride reckless with out helmet, tribble rides
