Mangaluru/Udupi, Feb 12: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 33 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday raising the tally to 34,118. Out of these, 334 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,41,519 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,07,440 are negative.

As many as 31 people were discharged on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,077.

A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 31,871 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 33,08,370 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,444, including 12 fresh cases on Friday. Out of these, 59 cases are currently active.

Over 3,48,280 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,24,836 have turned out negative.

As many as five patients were discharged on Friday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,196.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
