Mangaluru/Udupi, Feb 9: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 29 fresh coronavirus cases on Tuesday raising the tally to 34,074. Out of these, 343 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,37,041 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,02,967 are negative.

As many as 24 people were discharged on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 32,991.

A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 31,245 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 32,46,560 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,411, including six fresh cases on Tuesday. Out of these, 48 cases are currently active.

Over 3,45,135 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,21,724 have turned out negative.

As many as 11 patients were discharged on Tuesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,174.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
