Mangaluru/Udupi, Feb 5: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 17 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday raising the tally to 33,947. Out of these, 304 cases are currently active.
A total of 5,31,454 samples have been tested. Out of which 4,97,507 are negative.
As many as 16 people were discharged on Friday, A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.
Over 30,235 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 31,43,280 in fines have been collected by the authorities.
Udupi
The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,378, including 21 fresh cases on Friday. Out of these, 48 cases are currently active.
Over 3,40,298 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,16,920 have turned out negative.
As many as ten patients were discharged on Friday. A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
