Devadiga Medical Guidance Centre Conducts Eye Check-up Camp

Mumbai, June 22: A free eye check-up camp was organized by social activities wing of Devadiga Sangha, Mumbai at Devadiga Medical Guidance Centre, Devadiga Bhavan at Nerul (West), Navi Mumbai, recently.

The camp was held in collaboration Vision Foundation, Mumbai. S P Karmaran, Sangha’s former president inaugurated the camp.

Camp was held under the guidance of Dr Pritika, ophthalmologist and Reena of Vision Foundation. Eye Check-ups for over 70 local citizens and sangha’s members were successfully conducted on the occasion. Nitin Ajmer of Mamta Optics displayed the spectacles for sale at special subsidized rates at the camp venue. 

 Other medical check-ups like blood group classification and diabetes were also conducted at subsidized rate by Degadiga Pagthalogy Laboratory.

Sangha’s advisors, office-bearers and managing committee members consisting of Ramesh Ullal, Suresh S Rao, Sunder C Moily, Padmanabh Devadiga, Shyam A Ramadi, Prafulla V Devadiga, Uma Sherigar, Prabhakar Devadiga, and Ramesh Devadiga were present to support the successful conduct of the camp.

Smt. Pushpa S Rao, chairperson, social activities wing and Dr Rekha C Devadiga, co-ordinator of Devadiga Medical Guidance Centre spearheaded the eye check-up camp.

It may be recalled here that the Devadiga Medical Guidance Centre has successfully conducted two other medical check-up camps earlier since its inauguration in January 2010.
