Mangaluru: Multilingual drama festival set in motion at Padua College

Mangaluru, Jan 28: The grand inauguration of the multilingual drama festival by Astitva was held at Padua College ground.

Drama artiste Jeevan Ram Sullia who inaugurated the festival said that activities at Padua theatre have continued uninterrupted and given rise to new possibilities.

Arebhashe Academy president, Laxminarayana Kajegadde, Taluk Sahitya Academy president, Dayananda Kattalsar, Kannada and culture department, Mangaluru director Rajesh, Arehole Prathistala president, Sadashiva Rao were present.

Principal, Fr Alwyn Serrao welcomed the activities that began after ten months. Padua Ranga Adhyayana Kendra director, Christopher compered the programme.

Arebhashe language drama directed by Jeevan Ram titled Sahebru Bandave was performed at the end. The programme was sponsored by the department of Kannada and Culture, Mangaluru.
