Dubai issues new rules for gyms, fitness centres

Dubai, Jan 23: Continuing with the fight against the ongoing coronavirus, steps have been taken for Fitness centres and gyms in Dubai. All fitness centres and gyms in Dubai are directed to increase the physical distancing between the sports equipment and trainees from 2 to 3 metres.

The directive was issued on Friday, January 22 by the Dubai Economy and the Dubai Sports Council to ensure the public health and reinforce safety measures.

The guidelines come as the latest in a series of Covid safety announcements made in Dubai for fitness centres and gyms.

The emirate has also tightened the rules around hosting parties and weddings and introduced new social distancing protocols at restaurants.
