US India Business Council Honours Ryan International Group

Mumbai, Jun 8: The United States India Business Council (USIBC) honoured Grace Pinto, managing director of the Ryan International Group of Schools, for her leadership role in the launch of its new K-12 Education Initiative at Washington, USA on Sunday June 6.

On the occasion of its 35th anniversary, the USIBC announced the new initiative with the support of the Ryan International Group, one of India's leading educators. It will mobilize both financial and intellectual resources to transform schools in a manner that promotes replication of successful models across India. 

“The United States and India must be committed partners in building the workforce of tomorrow, a partnership that will unleash opportunity, spur growth and sustain prosperity not just in our countries, but across the global community,” said Harold McGraw III, incoming USIBC chairman and chief executive officer of The McGraw-Hill Companies.  He further said, “To do this, we must focus on strengthening our educational ties at every level. By working together our two countries can equip the next generation with the education and skills necessary to compete and win in the global economy,’ said Harold McGraw III.  
 
In her remarks, Grace Pinto expressed her deep gratitude to past USIBC chairperson Indra K Nooyi, chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, for her leadership on education.  Grace Pinto also expressed her deep desire to continue their important work on K - 12 educations with new chairperson Harold McGraw. 
 
After the USBIC Summit concluded, members of the Ryan Group and the USIBC teams met, to plan the next steps with regard to K-12 initiative.
