Mumbai, Jun 1: The Konkani Daiz camp that was jointly organized by Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Maharashtra and, Divo Illustrated Konkani Weekly in association with Mandd Sobhann, Mangalore concluded here on Sunday May 30.
Mandd Sobhann Gurkar Eric Ozario, Dylan Caldeira and Irene Rebello were the resource persons, who trained over 35 enthusiastic Konkans on Konkani culture, history, Vovyo-verse and other distinct folk dances.
Fr Baptist Pais, parish priest of Sacred Heart parish, Mahakali, here presided over the valedictory ceremony on Sunday May 30 evening and presented the certificates to all participants of camp.
John D'Silva, vice-president of Konkani Bhasha Mandal Maharastra, Lawrence Coelho, editor and publisher of Divo Illustrated Konkani Weekly, Fausto Da Costa, editor of Gulab and The Goan Review, Lawrence D'Souza Kamani, conveneor and general secretary of Konkani Bhasha Mandal were present.
John D'Silva welcomed the gathering. Lawrence D'Souza Kamani proposed the vote of thanks.
