Abu Dhabi Police Alert People on Summer Fire Accidents

IANS/WAM

Abu Dhabi, May 26: The Abu Dhabi Police have urged people to remain alert and follow the safety rules to avoid fire accidents as the soaring summer heat increases the risk of such disasters.

Col. Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, director of the Emergency and Public Safety Department of Abu Dhabi Police, said Wednesday that adherence to the preventive measures at homes, shops and in vehicles, reduce the risk of fire accidents.

Mishaps during summer increase as more people use electric devices, some of low quality, for cooling and other purposes.

He said rescue teams and ambulance services are kept ready to tackle fire accidents.
